Staff and students of Akal Academy Ganganagar organised a Tree Plantation drive on 21st July and planted around 100 saplings in and around the campus. The children pledged to adopt the plants and around the campus. All the classes with their teachers planted at least ten trees. The children also pledged to plant a tree on their birthdays.
The Headmistress stressed on the importance of planting trees and enlightened the children about the trees movements in India especially the Chipko Movement in Uttranchal where women hugged trees to save them.
