Understanding poems makes a child sensitive and writing them makes him creative, also students build confidence as they learn to speak more accurately and persuasively about any place of writing. Keeping this in mind Inter house poem recitation competition was organized for classes I to V by AA Khera. It was conducted house wise.
As we all know poem is meant for enjoyment. Beauty is the realm of the poetry, the children enjoy the beauty of expression, thoughts, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and music of word. Taking all these facts into consideration the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The children chose a verity of topics for their recitation like mother, nature, teacher, trees etc. with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Two judges were did the judgment based on confidence, pronunciation, voice intonation the props used and on the overall presentation, from all houses Ajay house stood first whereas Abhay and Amul houses both secure the second position.
At the end, Principal ma’am Ms. Mandeep Kaur appreciated and applauded the performance of participants. She also motivated the students to participate in co-curricular activities. She said participation is must instead of winning.
