He is the creator of all and He himself takes the human form,” Gurupurab also known as Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav and Guru Naank Jayanti celebrates the birth anniversary of the first Guru Dhan-Dhan Guru Nanak Devji. On the eve of Gurupurab Teachers and Students of Akal Academy Gomti organised a special programme to celebrate the 549th Gurpurab of Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Devji. Early Morning Teachers, students and parents organized Prabhat Pheri. Amid the holy presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahibji Students sang shabads, hymns, enacted teaching of Guru Nank Dev ji. The Students and teachers prepared programme highlighting teaching like sharing equally with everyone. This charged the atmosphere with positive vibes and created mesmerizing aura. The main attraction of Programme was exhibition of models prepared by students. These include models of important historical Gurudwaras like Nanak Mattaji, Golden Temple and several other glimpses of Guru Nanak Devji’s life. Students took part in Langar Sewa and Gatka Show organised by Divinity Deptt.Chief Guest called were SDM Mr. J.P. Singh Chauhan and Tehsildar Mr. Anurag Singh also sent their wishes by the students by the end of the programme kept the Sangat and parents spell bound. The most outstanding students in Academic and sports were awarded. The Anuual report of the Academy was read by the Principal Mr. Ashok Singh Guleria , Mrs. Simran Kaur Thind and teachers also graced the occasion. S. G.S. Saggu (Addl Zonal Director) and S. Tejinderjit Singh Joint Director (Inspections) also sent their best wishes to parents and students.The entire sangat was welcome and thanked by S. Balveer Singhji, Sewadar of Gomti Gurudwra.
