To much awaited “Live Green, Love Green, Think Green” Annual day cum carnival 2018 – 19 was held on 24th November,2018. It was organized by Akal Academy Khera premises which witnessed immense participation by students, their parents and public at large. The event was diligently organized. Our students gave soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant.
The chief guest of the event was the Assistant public relation officer Mr. Lokesh Kumar. Our Zonal Director Mr. G.S Saggu , MCH Ms. Sukhwinder kaur, Ms. Shashi Bala(Hm of Mayo Patti), Ms. Parminder kaur ( Hm of Dhugga kalan), Ms. Sukhsharan kaur ( HM of Pawein ) were also present.
Ms Jasmeen kaur 1 & 2 ( grade V), Tajinder kaur and Harleen kaur compering the function. Ms jasmeen kaur started the programe by welcoming guests and others. Then we begin the function with the shabad recited by the students of grade V to ponder the lord.
To avoid the use of plastic things our students of grade I and II gave a dance performance on “say no to plastic”. It was a wonderful performance. Our Nursery students gave a marvelous performance on “clap your hands” All gave a huge of plause. To aware the people to explain the value of water our III to V grade students gave a performance on mime. After this our K.G grade students gave a bewildering performance which is based on animals.
We know trees are very important for us. To explain the message that if there are no trees, there will be no life to explain this our 2nd and 5th grade students gave a bewildering performance i.e. choreography which is based on the theme save trees.
After this Ms. Harjinder kaur invited our Zonal Director, MCH and Principals to distribute prizes among students. After this Zonal Director Mr. G.S. Saggu appreciated the efforts of the students, teachers and staff for organizing the event and urged the students and their parents to spend some time together and enjoy activities other than studies. He said students outstanding in the field of academics, sports, cultural and other activities were felicitated. After this principal ma’am Ms. Mandeep kaur gave vote of thanks by appreciated her team.
By releasing colourful balloons by Mr. Lokesh Kumar chief guest, G.S. Saggu Zonal director, MCH Ms. Sukhwinder kaur marked the inauguration of the carnival. The school ground pulsated with scintillating music and lively crowd. The carnival had something in store for everyone be it children or adults. A very special segment catering to interest of the kids included a variety of rides and games. Stalls offering games like golf, bubble gun shooting, snake and ladder attracted the visitors. The magician added attraction. The students saw the magic show. It was marvelous. All enjoyed a lot. At the end we honored to Chief guest Mr. Lokesh kumar And other special guests.
An array of edible delights, raffle draw and exciting prizes ensured an unforgettable time with near and dear ones.
The zest and zeal exhibited by an enthusiastic crowd of visitors and participants made the carnival 2018-19 a memorable one.
