Guru purab is celebrated as the day to remember the sikh Guru who laid the foundation of Sikhism and is a reminder for the devotee to follow his teachings and devote their life in the selfless the service of God. Invoking the memoir of eternal majesty akal academy Telipura celebrated the 549th Aagaman Prakash Purab of Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with full zest and zeal. Shri Akhand Path in Darbar Sahib of Academy was kept by the hostel staff, Pathi Sahibans & the students from 28th November 2018 to 30th November 2018. Before starting Akhand Path the decoration with balloons and hand crafted materials was done by Akal staff with full honour, respect and devotion. After the Bhog of Akhand Path Sahib the programme was started with the Hukamnama taken by Bhai Santokh Singh Ji (Pathi of Gurudawara Sahib Kanakpur). The programme was a series of different religious events. A devotional Shabad performed by 8th class’s girls, “Kal Taran Gur Nanak Aaya” was memorable to all. Students of class 7th and 8th performed divinity poems which were appreciated by everyone. Students of class 6th expressed their beautiful precious views of Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with their short speeches. Everyone was shocked to listen a six years old child who recited Panch Pyaras Name, Panch kakars, Panch Takhat, Das Guru Sahibans, in one sound very actively. English speech by 8th class girls reminded every the vibrant principles of life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Shabad by 7th and 8th class girls “Tujh Bin Kawan Hamara, Mere Pritam Paran Adhaara” drew everyone to the spiritual environment. Everyone presented in Darbar Sahib and the programmes performed by children on this holy occasion were appreciated and congratulated by honorable Principal mam by her short speech. At the last after the Ardaas everybody took Guru Ka Parshad. Guru ka Langar since morning was served among the Sangat and students with keen interest and respect. Up to 11am in the morning after Guru Purab celebration another programme ‘Mini Sports Day’ took place on the same day in the ground of academy and all the parents gathered in the Pandal in ground to watch further sports events.Team work and benefit of social interaction among children are best seen in sports. Mini sports day for kindergarten children held to help children stay healthy and strong. Physical benefits often have an impact on emotional well being which help improve students school performance. Keeping these points in mind we organized an inter house competition for the sports day. Sports events with cultural programmes chosen were fun, safe and easy to participate for every child such as a simple race of 30 mts, relay race using balls, spoon race, cycle race, a ‘baby walk’ race for nursery children etc and choreography were also performed by our little stars. All kindergarten parents also had been invited to support and to involve in activities, so that parents also participated in different activities such as fathers’ race, mothers’ race, tug-o-war etc increased fun and enjoyment of the day. Children as well as parents had been rewarded with beautiful trophies and medals for their achievement. Gatka performed by the students increased the glory of the programme.The programme was finished with the precious golden views of honorable Principal mam and S. Balveer Veerji by their short speeches. The chief guests (S. Balveer Veerji, Omkar Singh, S. Mahendar Singh Hooda, S. Satvinder Singh, S. Kulwant Singh) presented in the programme played vital role to increase the glory of the programme.
