MORNING SESSION
The important topic of gender stereotypes was discussed in all its pitfalls .There were with various feed backs from the audience. The need of the hour was to inculcate the value that everyone is to be treated with same respect and equality. At all times the little children should be with their teachers championing similarities between every one and not the differences.
The Samanta Curriculum was discussed in details
The Booklets were distributed. This included story books , resource details and lesson plans
The Mood Meter was introduced by 4 primary colors and their discerning effect on the mood of a person.
The RULER program was introduced While we cannot choose our feelings we can choose the responses of these feelings
AFTERNOON & EVENING SESSION
The main thrust was the detail implementation of the curriculum.
As a pilot project it was critical for the teachers who were going to be responsible for this epoch making and defining moments for the Early Years children of Akal Academies to thoroughly understand each and every details.
One day they might be chosen as facilitators of the program for other schools.
Thus we come to the end of a grand and meaningful workshop in the hope that this Pilot Project of Samanta with Akal Academy will be the beginning of a new thought and mindset in learning outside academics. The name of our great institution will find another jewel in its crown.
