The branch of kalgidhar trust Akal Academy, Theh kalander planted 200 trees on 20th April, 2019 as a dedication to Guru Nanak. Dev ji’s 550 birthdays. The students were very excited on this occasion. The Principal Mrs. Gurjeet kaur took the initiative of this work with the help of eco-club members. Ms. Arjinder Kaur, Ms. Sharanjit Kaur Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur and Jaswinder Kaur. The principal told that the students of this school plant a tree on their birthday instead of distributing candies and chocolates. She also delivered a short oration on the importance of saving our environment by planting more and more trees.
