To enhance the love for trees Akal Academy Bilga organized plantation drive on 20th July 2019. It was organized by go green club. Students were motivated to grow and bring more and more plants. More than 100 students brought plants in the school. They planted approximately 200 plants like ornamental plants, medicated plants, shady plants and fruit plants.
51 plants were planted outside the school donated by Bank of Baroda. The chief guest of this event was Mr. Parshotam Lal(Senior Branch Manager), Mr. Balbir Singh and Mr. Gurmeet singh (PTA Member) , S. Iqbal Singh (Journalist Jagbani) and Gurnam Singh Jakhu( Member of Nagar Panchayat) were also present there. Mr. Parshotam Lal(Senior Branch Manager Bank of Baroda) addressed the students and motivated them to plant more and more plants. At last Principal, Ms. Harpreet Kaur Sahni also motivated the students to grow more plants in the future to save the environment. She also guided the students to look after the plants as young plants require a dependable heap of care. Even the tiny tots of kindergarten also planted plants. A vote of thanks was given by Madam Principal to the guest.
