The Parkash Gurpurab birth anniversary of 4th Sikh guru, Guru Ram Das Ji, who is also the founder of Amritsar city, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervour. Students were told that Shri Guru Ramdas Ji was the fourth guru of Sikh religion, who was given Gurgaddi by the third master Shri Guru Amardass Ji. He was the founder of Amritsar city and built various sarovars (ponds) including the famous Sarovar at Shri Harmandir Sahib. Parkash Gurpurab of Shri Guru Ramdas Ji is celebrated every year on Kattak Vadi 2. According to this, Guru Ramdas ji Birthday 2019 date is Tuesday, 15 October 2019.
