Exercises
Personal, Social and Physical Education (PSPE), which is part of the core curriculum at IB World School, Baru Sahib, empowers students through experiences designed to develop their sense of personal identity and their identity within their social and cultural context, in the classroom and beyond. Through the PSPE programme, our students develop positive attitudes, self-esteem, and a lifelong desire for continual participation in healthy, active lifestyles while discovering who they are as an individual and how they fit into society as a whole. If we talk about those students who are staying in residential schools for them the exercise and fitness part is very important because they sometimes miss their family and our focus is to make them happy and turn their focus into activities. Exercise makes them mentally strong and keeps fit and makes them comfortable.
Exercise not only energizes our body, but it also kicks our brain. Research shows that physical exercise releases proteins into the brain that can actually help improve the memory and increases our cognitive performance. Exercise benefits the brain as much as the body, and that’s always a good deal for students. If the physical and mental benefits of exercise are enough, how about the emotional benefits. Exercise releases endorphins which reduce stress levels and makes you happier, among other things. So, not only the workout is giving more energy and stimulating the brain for a good study session, it also reduces the stress we feel about assessments.
Exercise begins with the warm up activities and then proceeds by the different exercises and ends up with cool down exercise.
