Reduce, Recycle, Reuse
Goal: to make them understand the importance of preserving the environment and learn more about sustainability.
“Don’t throw it away; it can be used in some other way.”
Best out of waste is one such craft which follows this environmental friendly principle and at the same time creates useful, beautiful, decorative and picturesque pieces out of waste products. In order to make children aware of uses of waste material, and to give them lesson on reduce, recycle and reuse the things to save our future, ‘Best out of waste’ activity was held for the IB PYP students of Baru Sahib. Little hands and imagination minds came together in a creative burst of energy during this activity.
The students develop their craftsmanship of motor skills and became communicators by sharing their ideas to make creative things out of waste material. It is Diy Protect which is very useful to reduce the quantity of waste. Instead of throwing, it can be used in different forms. In this students can use newspaper, cardboard, boxes, bottles, glasses, bangles and plastic to create beautiful artifacts to decorate their houses. It was a fun filled activity indeed.
