In India, Teachers’ Day is celebrated on September 5 to mark the birthday of former President, politician, scholar and Bharat Ratna recipient, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Akal Academy, Baru Sahib solemnly celebrated Teacher’s Day with great gusto on 5th Sep. 20
Students exhibited their respect and gratitude towards their beloved teachers through a programme sequencing – lamp lighting ceremony, shabad, followed by a skit highlighting how teachers play a pivotal role in shaping a student’s life. The show also incorporated group dances, fun games, speech, poems, powerpoint presentation, songs and parody.
The programme culminated by words of appreciation by Dr. Davinder Singh, Director, Akal Academies.
Principal, Dr. Neelam Kaur applauded the efforts made by the teachers and the way they contributed in bringing up the young buds and making them confident individuals.
