Dr. Khem Singh Gill was a man of intelligence, virtue and an owner of high and pure conduct. His personality cannot be described in words. He was an Indian Academic, Plant breeder and Vice Chancellor of the Punjab Agricultural University. He was also the Vice President of Kalgidhar Trust and Kalgidhar Society. He was awarded many awards. In 1992, the Government of India also awarded him with the Padma Bhushan award for his contributions to Science. On the occasion of his death anniversary, a tribute was paid to Dr. Khem Singh Ji by Akal Academy Manal and Sukhmani Sahib was recited in his memory. Scholars also prepared speeches and shared valuable information regarding the life history of Dr. Khem Singh Ji.
