Celebration of Birth Anniversary of Shahid Bhagat Singh Ji “Revolution did not necessarily involve sanguinary strife. It was not a cult of bomb and pistol. They may sometimes be mere means for its achievement” Shahid Bhagat Singh To pay homage to Shahid Baghat Singh, Akal Academy Mayopatti celebrated his birth anniversary on 28th September. Students from Grade I to VIII participated in it. The function started at 1:30pm. At first a student of Grade VII Harleen Kaur gave a speech on the life of Shahid Bhaght Singh. Students of Grade VIII Jasleen Kaur and Prabhleen Kaur sang the song “sarfroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil mein hai.” Afterwards Students of Grade VI and VII sang a group song. Then students of Grade II sang a patriotic poem “Main fir Punjab chjana lavante Bhagat Singh merana hove.” At last the boys of Grade VIII recited a beautiful patriotic poem. Students were very excited and feelings of love and respect for their country and its freedom fighters can be felt from their faces.
