Students of Akal Academy Dhugga Kalan celebrated the ‘ festival of lights ‘ i.e.Diwali with devotion and religious zeal. Diwali is commemorated to mark the joy, victory and harmony as hindu lord Ramchandra came back to Ayodhya after an exile of 14 years and sixth sikh guru ‘ Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji’ returned to Golden Temple from the prison of Jahangir with 52 hindu princes on this day. That’s why this festival is known as Bandhi Chodh Diwas in sikhism. Various activities including diya decoration, classroom decoration, rangoli making etc were performed under the observation of class-incharges. Along with this , teachers delivered speeches to encourage the students to celebrate eco-friendly green diwali. At the end, the headmistress Mrs. Parminder Kaur distributed gifts and sweets among all staff members .
