Akal Academy Kakra Kalan celebrated the 552nd birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with great enthusiasm and fervour. The celebration started with Bhog of Sri Sehaj Path. Then the students of all the classes recited shabads and represented many activities based on the life of Guru ji like poems and kavishri. Parents of students were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, school principal, Mrs. Istinder Malhotra ,while wishing everyone a Happy Gurpurab told that the true religion is humanity only.She inspired everyone to follow the teachings Of Guru Ji.
Shri Lal Viswas Bains, SDM Shahkot , also graced the event with his presence and gave certificates to the toppers of the academic session (2020-21) for their brilliant performance . He told about the teachings Of Guru ji and asked to follow the path of universal brotherhood and peace. He also congratulated the principal and staff members to provide value based education to the rural children.
Karah-prasad was distributed among the devotees after Ardaas. Then , students performed gatka , which was followed by guru ka langar.
