Akal Academy, Holi (Barara) celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Ji Prakash Purab. A grand stage had been set up with a professional sound system. Mrs. Arvinderpal Kaur Oberoi (Mega Cluster Head) had been invited as the Chief Guest. At first , Sahaj Path was done in the academy. After that, the annual function started. The talented students presented mesmerizing cultural events such as dances, plays, religious songs, poems, Gatka etc.The students of Nursery, K.G. , Ist, IInd , IIIrd ,IV and Vth gave excellent performances on “Fancy Dress Competition ”, “Baba MajjanChronda” “WaheGuru,Wahe Guru” , “Ardaas”, “Nanak AadJugad”, “ChitteChitteTare…” ,”Aar Nanak Par Nanak”, “Mere Sahib de Rang Nyare”, “Aavi Baba Nanaka” . The students of class VIth to VIIIth presented a play on ‘Importance of Education’. The students of class IX performed a skit on “Respect Your Parents”. The students performed “Gatka” very perfectly which was appreciated by all. Exhibition was also held in the academy.
The students made creative models of Maths, Science, S.St, Eng. ,Hindi, Punjabi, Computer and Divinity. Ms. Kamaljeet Kaur , the official incharge of the academy, honoured the Chief Guest by giving “Siropa” and shields. She made the audience aware of the school’s achievements in academics and co- curricular arenas. Prizes were given away to the toppers . Addressing the occasion, the Chief Guests praised the academy for its all round success and wished a better future for the students. At the end, Kamaljeet Mam thanked the Chief Guests and parents for having spared their time to attend the function. She also thanked the students and teachers for organizing the function successfully. After that, langar was served to everyone.
