The Parkash Purb of Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated with full zeal, devotion and enthusiasm by the students and staff of Akal Academy Jand Sahib with the blessings of the Almighty on Nov 13, 2021.
The Pious day started with Bhog of Shri Akhand Path Sahib by the students and the teachers of the academy.
Then the holy saroop of Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji escorted by Akal Khalsa Team (Girls) was taken towards the adorned pandal and was welcomed by students and parents by showering the flowers.
Religious Programme started with paying obeisance through Shabads ‘Santan Ke Karaj’, ‘Aisi Preet Kro’, ‘Teri Bhagat Na Chodoon’ and ‘Sabna Ka Maa Piyo’. Students of Grade XI anchored the programme. Afterwards the tiny tots mesmerized the audience by reciting Poem, telling a Sakhi in English and Punjabi.
Students welcomed audience with a welcome song.
Songs like, ‘Baba Nanak Pe Gyi Teri Lod’, ‘Jive Patta’, ‘Mere Sahib De Rang’ etc were sung melodiously by students.
After Ardass the Saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was taken to Sri Darbar Sahib and the religious programme continued with choreography ‘Udd Te Judha’ by students of Grade II.
To make the people aware of the teaching and philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Ashanpreet Kaur of Grade XI delivered a speech. Throwing the light on the burning issues of Indian Farmers Life, a Drama was performed by Grade IX to XII girls which was appreciated by one and all present in the pandal. The students of Middle & Secondary sections, presented Social & Motivational choreographies.
The programme ended with much appreciated ‘Gatka Performance’ by Akal Gatka Team.
The District Toppers of Grade X (2019-2020), toppers of Grade Nur to XI (2020-2021), the State and National players were awarded with trophies.
To exhibit the performance of academians and to make them aware of Natural things and Healthy food habits, a corner was created under the title ‘Food Plaza’ and ‘Natural-Mother’.
Science department also arranged a program named ‘Science and Motion’ where the blossoming scientist of Grade III to XII performed different activities and practicals and showed the magics of Science through chemical reactions.
Art work done by students throughout the year was displayed in art exhibition.
The wall size flexes of Jand Sahib Alumines along with their achievements were the attraction of one and all.
In the end parents were thanked attending and appreciating the programme & also motivated for admission
