Group 1) I -V Know your Country As per activity calendar a Quiz contest was organized for class 3 to 5. The questions asked in this group were about Indian Republic and it’s states, national insignias, constitution and main leaders. It was a house based contest. Though participants from all the houses did their best to register a win for their houses, ultimately it was Atul house which won the first position, followed by Ajay house. The program was very nice as students learnt a lot about the country.
Group – 2 (VI to X) Mock parliament As per activity calendar a mock parliament session was organized for class VI to X. The aim was to acquaint the students with the proceedings of parliament. The topics chosen for discussion were new Army Recruitment Scheme ‘Agni path’ and imposition of GST on milk and other packed and unpacked eatable products.
Students did their best by running the session with parliament norms and process. All the participants presented their views within the allotted times. heated exchanges of arguments were witnessed between members of treasury and opposition benches. The house had to witness adjournment twice amidst pandemonium scenes. Overall it was very fruitful . experience for the country’s future of tomorrow.
