“A very auspicious tree plantation drive was organized in our school to create awareness regarding climate change and its adverse effect on us. The programme started at 10: 00 a.m. in the morning.
A week ago, the programme, the students were divided into group of two. They were instructed to bring an indoor plant. One child of the group brought the plant and the other one brought the pot. The students were enthusiastic and had a great smile on their faces as their plant was going to be the part of school corridors being an indoor plant.
The students decorated the pots tastefully. Moreover, they wrote their names on the pots. They were showing their pots and plants to each other. They were very happy while giving their plants to our gardener, Mr. Parminder Singh.
Our honourable Principal Ms. Mandeep Kaur gave pens to the students of Grade VI-VIII B with the name of Akal Academy Khera printed on it. The students of Grade I-V were given erasers and pencils to encourage them for their contribution in conserving nature. Our principal appreciated the students for this noble cause.
