Akal Academy, Holi (Barara) celebrated Prakash Purab of Guru Ramdas Ji on 11 Oct. , 2022. The students recited Shabad and Kirtan. They delivered informative speeches and recited poems related to Guru Ramdas Ji.
Guru Ramdas Ji was the fourth of the ten Gurus of Sikhism. He taught Sikhs the importance of celebrating together and created a town that later became Amritsar so he is credited with founding the holy city of Amritsar in the Sikh tradition. Guru Ramdas Ji composed 638 hymns or about 10 percent of the hymns in the Guru Granth Sahib. He was a celebrated poet, and composed his work in 30 ancient ragas of Indian classical music.
