Diwali Celebration

Diwali is one of the important festivals in India. The festival symbolizes new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. Festivities usually last for 5 days, and include gathering with family members, sharing tasty food, watching spectacular fireworks and visiting temples.

Kindergarten students of Akal Academy,Holi (Barara) actively participated in activities related to Diwali Celebration. Diwali or Deepawali comes from Sanskrit word which means “Row of lighted lamps”. It is a festival of lights, happiness and prosperity.

Students took great interest in the activities like Coloring Diya and decorating Candles. They participated with a lot of enthusiasm.

Grade-1st to 2nd:    Diya Decoration

Diwali is an occasion to celebrate victory over defeat, light over darkness, awareness over ignorance an occasion to celebrate life this year.  Akal Academy, Holi (Barara) celebrated the release of Guru HarGobindji along with 52 other prisoners from Gwalior fort and also Diwali. Candle and Diya Decoration Competitions were held for the students. Students participated in Diwali Celebration activity quire actively. In this competition, they painted and decorated Diyas and Candles. Students showed their interest in the given activities and beautifully decorated the Diyas and candles.Students participated with keen interest in this activity and enjoyed a lot.

                                    Rangoli Making

The festival of lights was celebrated with great pleasure at the school. An Inter-House Rangoli competition was conducted for students. The stunning designs of rangoli were alluring and fascinating.  Students decorated their Thali in their own creative way. The main aim of this competition was to help the students to exhibit their talent, show their love and devotion towards their lord and pray to God by decorating Thali with flowers, diyas and many other items. Children decorated their Thali beautifully. They used many new ideas for decorating Thali. The students participated enthusiastically in this competition.

                                 Rangoli Making

The Students participated actively in today’s Diwali Celebration Activity and participated in different activities like- Rangoli making, Decorating Classes, Gift Wrapping. The students used many packages of bright colored powder, made beautiful patterns and designs and skillfully added flowers, leaves and even rocks and Diyas to their Rangoli designs. They made beautiful Rangoli designs using their creativity and imagination.Colorful wall hangings, prepared by the students, were also one of the beautiful attractions of the competition. Overall activity was conducted smoothly.The students of Akal Academy, Holi (Barara) participated in all these activities with great interest and passion. The participation of the students was quite admirable.
