Although perceived as a mere fun activity, fancy dress is of great benefit to children especially for preschoolers and for children that are in the foundation years for building their imagination and vocabulary.
To enhance creativity, imagination and build confidence; a Fancy Dress Compeition was conducted for the students of Grade Nursery to Second on 22 October 2022 Akal Academy Sujanpur. The students participated in huge numbers and showcased their versatility. The school got their students into the skin of different characters and things.
The children dressed as vegetables, fruits , people who help us and Soldier brilliantly in their own way. It was a delight from start to finish with children, in an array of glittering costumes ,mouthing famous dialogues and slogans, leaving the audience enthralled. They were all smartly dressed up and took part with much enthusiasm. The students presented themselves by sharing information about the characters they depicted.
They presented Role play on ‘ the people who help us, Different shapes, Healthy Food Vs. Junk Food, Whtsapp and Plastic, Save trees etc.
They all looked vibrant in their colorful and different costumes and played their parts confidently.The students were given an opportunity to speak in front of others and bring forth their talents.
The objective of the competition was met as the students learnt about many important things. It helped to build English conversational skills.
The programme concluded with the worthy words by Principal Rupinder Kaur where she appreciated the endeavours of teachers as well as the tiny tots.
