Reading in early years is very important as it supports a child’s academic success and imparts a lifelong love for learning. Strong oral language skills lead to greater general knowledge and command over a language. They may find it easier to learn and be fluent in multiple languages.
DEAR session was held at Akal Academy Baru Sahib (IB World School) in order to develop a flare for reading among the young learners. Exclusive time was given to read anything of their choice ranging from comics, fiction or non-fiction.
