The MOCK PARLIAMENT activity was conducted by our ABHAYHOUSE students. It was organized as part of our school’s efforts to foster critical thinking, public speaking and teamwork among our students. The event aimed to simulate a parliamentary debate, where students portrayed members of the opposition and the Ruling Party, presenting their arguments and counterarguments on the topic of the powers held by state government.
The mock Parliament Competition followed a structured format, similar to a real parliamentary debate ensuring fairness and impartially throughout the proceedings. Participants displayed a commendable understanding of parliamentary procedures, decorum and articulation of their arguments. Each team presented well-researched viewpoints, quoting relevant examples and constitutional provisions to support their stances.
Both teams effectively utilized persuasive language and rhetorical skills to present counterarguments.
