On 12th August 2023 Independence day was celebrated at Akal Academy Raipur Peer Baksh Wala run by The Kalgidhar Trust. Our Principal Ma’am was the Chief Guest of the Programme. The Celebration was started with Flag Hoisting followed by National Anthem and Shabad ‘Deh Siva Bar Mohe eehe’. After that Dilraj Kaur Ma’am familiarize the students with the importance of Independence Day. Head Boy and Head Girl of the school also presented their feelings and emotions through speech and Poem. After that IX class girls sang Patriotic Song “Hum Sab Bhartiya Hain”. Then students of classes I and II played role of Farmer, Soldier, Bharat Mata, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Bhagat Singh and Rani Lakshmi Bai. Students of almost all the classes(from I-XII) performed various cultural acts, choreography, role play and poem. Students exhibited life journey of Bhagat Singh, Pulwama Attack and also performed Gatka. At last our Principal Ma’am Sonu Sharma told the students about the supreme sacrifice of the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also said that the freedom is very precious and we need to preserve it. She advised the students to become ideal citizens of the country.
