Today, 5 August, 2023 “Mock Parliament” was organised at Akal Academy Raipur Peer Baksh Wala run by Kalgidhar Trust. This activity was an Experiential Learning for Students. It promotes the spirit of constitutional values among students. The topic of discussion was “Farm Bill” (Repeal). Students presented all the three Readings. In 1st Reading the Bill was reopened and a copy of the same was distributed among members, then in 2nd Reading discussions and negotiations were done. In 3rd reading Voting was held and finally how the Bill was withdrawn by the Parliament. At the end our Hon’ble Principal Ma’am Ms Sonu Sharma appreciate the students and their efforts. She said that the aim of Mock Parliament is to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate healthy habits of discussion, tolerance of the views of others and to enable the student community to understand the working of our Parliamentary system.
