Report on the Celebration of Baisakhi
Baisakhi marks the first day of the month of Vaisakh. It is seen as a spring harvest celebration primarily
in Punjab and Northern India.Baisakhi as a major Sikh festival marks the birth of the Khalsa order by
Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhism, on 13 April 1699.
To celebrate this special day our Academy recited Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji Path on 15th April 2024(
Monday ). After the path shabad kirtan was recited by the students. Then students from grade 6th
presented the poem related to tha Baisakhi followed by the Ardaas and then karha prashad was
distributed among all.
After this Dastaar Bandi competition was also organised on the same day . The competition was judged
by Mr. Harminder Singh and Mr. Balvir Singh .The first competition was from grade 3 to 5 from which
Ranjot Singh stood first followed by Gurman Singh and Harkirat Singh as the runner ups. Then from the
senior classes Ankirat Singh won the competition followed by Mehtab Singh as First runner up and
Rajveer Singh and Prabhjeet Singh as the second runner ups. After the competition all the students and
staff had 'Guru Ka Langar '.This day was very inspirational and enlighted our souls.
