On 12th of April , Dastar Bandi competition was organised on Visakhi.
It is traditional sikh turban tying ceremony which is a significant aspect
of Sikh identity and heritage. All the students from grade 6 th to grade 8 th
C. The competition aimed to educate students about the importance of
the dastar and to celebrate the rich Sikh culture. The event began with
prayer followed by instructions of competition. Ms. Harpreet Kaur , Ms.
Harjinder Kaur and Mr. Gurinder Singh judged the competitors for their
neatness, tidinesss, style , creativity and speed. Students also put their
accessories on their turbans. Anhad kaur (Grade 8), mehakpreet Singh
(grade 7) and anmol Singh (grade 8) won their first ,second and third
position respectively. Sehaj Path also started by some students in
presence of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji. There was another competitions
for primary wing like painting and handwriting competitions. Our
principal distribute prizes to winners and encourage the other students to
participate. Overall, it was memorable event.
