Independence Day
A special day of Independence Day was celebrated at Akal Academy Teh Qalandar, a branch of Kalgidhar Trust Baru Sahib. On this occasion, the principal of the academy, Mrs. Gurjit Kaur Sidhu, performed the flag hoisting ceremony in the prayer meeting and also all the students and all the staff took an oath to fulfill their duties towards the country. After this, like every day, after the routine, patriotic poems, songs and speeches were given by the children during the morning meeting. After this, various activities such as Tri Color Food Flag Making Competition, Rangoli Competition, Food Without Fire, Letter to our Country’s Heroes and Create Out of Waste etc. were exhibited by the children. Meanwhile, Principal Sahiba while sharing her thoughts said that we should always be honest towards our country and should never forget the sacrifice of those patriots thanks to whom we are celebrating this Independence Day today.
