‘AZADI KA JASHAN’- INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT AKAL ACADEMY MANDER DONA

Tri-Color Fervor Marks 78th Independence Day Celebrations

 

Akal Academy Mander Dona celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day on August 14 with so much enthusiasm and patriotic zeal. The school’s decor was a vibrant reflection of the Indian flag’s tri-colors, by the Art students and painting and Art Teacher Baljeet Singh, setting the tone for a day filled with national pride.

The program commenced with the recitation of ‘ਦੇਹ ਸ਼ਿਵਾ ਬਰ ਮੋਹੇ ਈਹੇ’, a hymn from Dasam Granth by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, followed by a thought-provoking speech by Ramneek Kaur on the impact of British rule on Indian culture and heritage.

Students from nursery to 9th grade showcased their patriotic spirit through various choreographed performances, clad in kesari dumalas adorned with tricolor ribbons and colorful dupattas. The event was skillfully organized by Baljeet Singh, Activity Incharge.

The program began with the singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ and concluded with ‘Jana Gana Mana’, bookending a series of performances that included a classic Indian melody, ‘Eh Mere Watan Ke Logo’, performed by Jeevanpreet and group.

Principal Manjit Kaur Mahal delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing that independence means the freedom to live, speak, and act according to our own beliefs. Mam also appreciated the students and teachers for their efforts in making the event a resounding success.

With their energetic performances and thoughtful speeches, the students of Akal Academy Mander Dona truly embodied the spirit of independence, making the 78th Independence Day celebrations a memorable one.
