The birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and sweet memory of Bhai
Manjh Ji was celebrated at Akal Academy Cholang on 3 rd November 2024
(Sunday).
The Bhog ceremony of two Sehaj Paths was performed to honour Shri Guru
Nanak Dev Ji and Bhai Manjh Ji. On this special occasion, Baba Dr. Davinder
Singh Ji (Pradhan – Kalgidhar Trust Baru Sahib) came with his whole team
to attend this Gurmat Smagam.
The smagam was also blessed with the presence of guru ki sangat.
The whole sangat enjoyed the warmth of Gurbani through shabad kirtan,
poem recitation and katha kirtan. Bhai Jaspal Singh Ji (Jalandhar Wale) and
the students of Akal Academy Cholang recited the Gurbani kirtan to
enlighten the sangat.
After the path of Anand Sahib, Baba Dr. Davinder Singh Ji recited the Ardas.
Then Pancham Kada Parshad was distributed among the sangat. Then the
sangat received the blessings through Guru ka Langar.
Baba Dr. Davinder Singh Ji encouraged the students and teachers by his
valuable words. Donor of the land, Mr. Harbans Singh, was also honoured
by Baba Dr. Davinder Singh Ji. Our Headmistress, Ms. Ravinder Jit Kaur also
spoke a few words to thank the guests, sangat and encourage the students.
Students of Akal Academy Cholang also performed Gatka activity.
Sikh history was also displayed by the students and teachers in different
ways. Social Science, Maths, Science and Punjabi exhibitions were also
displayed in the campus for the sangat’s enlightenment.
