Grandparents Day Celebration
The Grandparents Day was celebrated in Akal Academy Cholang on 26 th
November 2024, under the supervision of our Principal, Ms. Ravinder Jit
Kaur. The day started with Nitnem Bani. The students organised March
Past in the academy ground with proper caution and band. There was
proper musical system and National Anthem was sung. The Chief Guest,
Mr. Boota Singh Ji, Sarpanch Village Cholang, honoured us with his
presence.
The students performed shabad and welcome song. Students of Grade
Nursery to Grade 5 th performed different activities. Students of Nursery,
LKG and UKG performed chair crawling, ball race, ball rolling,
choreography. Students of Grade 1 st to 5 th enjoyed by participating in the
sack race, lemon race, 100-meter race, relay race and balloon race. There
were performances of Lazzium, yoga and Umbrella drill also. A play was
presented by the students, to show respect to the grandparents.
There were 2 activities for the grandparents to parents to participate –
Musical chair for grandmothers and ballon race for grandfathers. They all
enjoyed a lot. Students also performed Gatka.
The audience and the participants were very happy with this event and
they praised everyone for their efforts in organising this event. Our Chief
Guest gave prizes to the winners, appreciated the efforts by the academy
and encouraged everyone to keep arranging such events every year.
Refreshments and Guru Ka Langar was also served for everyone.
