Earth Day Celebration at Akal Academy Fatehgarh Ganduan
“Let us give back to the Earth, what it has given to us.”
Akal Academy Fatehgarh Ganduan, run under the aegis of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib (Himachal Pradesh), celebrated Earth Day on April 22, 2025, with great zeal, awareness, and enthusiasm.
The entire school—students and staff alike—came together to honor Mother Earth and spread awareness about environmental conservation. The celebration included a wide range of engaging activities:
Speeches, poems, and street plays highlighting the importance of environmental protection
Tree plantation drives to promote greenery
Recycling and slogan-writing activities to encourage sustainable habits
The students took a pledge to reduce the use of plastic and to take responsibility for conserving natural resources. Their commitment reflected a sense of urgency and purpose to work towards a healthier planet.
Principal Madam Anuradha Babbar addressed the gathering and shared a powerful message:
“If we truly wish to save our planet, we must all join hands and take action now.”
She further motivated everyone to plant at least one tree every year on their birthday, emphasizing that small steps can lead to big changes.
The Earth Day celebration not only educated the students about environmental issues but also inspired them to become responsible stewards of the Earth.
Together, we pledged to protect our planet—because there is no Planet B.
