Subject: Report on special online session on G-meet for students of grade 8-12 by
Dr Sandeep Singh Sandha
On The Akal Academy Sujanpur organized a special online session on Artificial
Intelligence for students of Grades 8 to 12 on 21st April 2025. The class, conducted via
Google Meet, was led by Dr. Sandeep Singh Sandha (Ph.D., University of California)
and Dr. Inderjot Kaur, both experienced educators and researchers in the AI field, and
was arranged on digiboards from UKG-B Classroom and Counseling Room. Proper
arrangement was made for approximately 150 students to be seated there.
The session introduced students to a 2-month AI course focused on Python
programming, data science, and real-world AI projects such as face detection, chatbots,
and pattern recognition. Students learned about AI applications across various industries
and how they can start learning AI skills through hands-on, beginner-friendly modules.
The course is free for students of Akal Academies. Classes for the course will begin on
26th April, held twice a week from 7 PM to 8 PM IST, with extra sessions available for
project work.
The event was engaging and informative, sparking students' interest in technology
and future careers in AI. Students listened with keen interest & actively participated in
interactive Q & A session at the end. The session motivated students to pursue a skill
set that is vital in today’s tech driven world.
