Inter-House Activity-Best out of Waste
Akal Academy, Holi Barara organized virtual “Inter House Activity : Create Best out of Waste”. Making the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. It was the human creative mind that gave birth to this extraordinary idea of using unwanted material in a useful way. In today’s world recycling has a very important place. There are a lot of things around that are labeled as dump. But the irony is that most of the dump collected is useful for others, if recycled. Hence utilizing the best from unwanted things has become a generic necessity of every human’s life. Creating craft from waste is a fun family activity also. To encourage the student’s creativity, it proves a valuable theme. All the students have participated and made the best from unwanted things. They have shown their best efforts by making things such as wall hangings, Pen/pencil stand in common, flowers, flower pots, decorating things and many more. They excellently reuse the waste into a new one. They used their imagination and creativity to make innovative things. Students used broken bangles, plastic bottles, waste nails, peanut shell, beads etc. All these things which are waste in our day to day life were used in a constructive manner and a variety of things were made from them. Students made cloth dolls, wall hanging with bangles, dolls with tea strainer, photo frames, Money Bank, night lamp with bottle etc. The criteria for the competition were presentation, use of material, innovation and overall effect. Principal, Mrs. Jasmeet Kaur appreciated the imagination and ability of the students to think and organize their thoughts to create such beautiful items.
