In an effort to lay a strong foundation of Mathematics among the Pre-schoolers, Akal Academy Khera organized Maths Quiz for the students of the Pre-Primary Wing on 19 August 2021. One student from each house participated in the quiz. Ms. Mandeep Kaur introduced the participants and explained the rules. Ms. Amandeep Kaur Bariah judged the tiny tots. The quiz consisted of four rounds. The quiz started with Pre-Nursery students’ first round “Identification of Shapes” which enhanced their identification skills. In the second round, the students enjoyed participating in Number Value which developed their thinking skills. The next round was of Big and Small concepts that enriched their analytical skill. They also had an interesting round i.e., Buzzer Round. This round enhanced their mental ability. This round was “What Comes After.” . The purpose of the Maths Quiz was to teach the students about basic mathematics in a simple and playful manner.
