Baba Sri Chand Ji Jayanti is the birthday of Baba Sri Chand Ji. To celebrate this day, Akal Academy Holi Barara conducted a special assembly on September 15, 2021. The students recited shabad, kirtan and presented informative speeches related to Baba Shri Chand Ji. Sri Chand (1494 to 1629), also called Baba Sri Chand is the elder son of Guru Nanak and the founder of the ascetic sect of Udasis. Shri Chandra’s philosophy is called the conjunction of the paths of devotion and knowledge. He believed in the theory of Karma and reincarnation. Central to his teachings were truthfulness, contentment, forgiveness, self-discipline, and the unity of mankind.
