Tribute to Shaheed Udham Singh at Akal Academy Mander Dona
Mander Dona, July 31 – Akal Academy Mander Dona honored Shaheed Udham Singh on the 84th anniversary of his martyrdom. The event began with a soulful shabad performed by Gursharan and his group. Ramneek Kaur, a 9th grader, gave a speech in Punjabi about Udham Singh’s dedication to India.
The program featured a powerful song, “Lalkara,” by Mehekpreet Kaur and a skit by students from grades 5 to 9, depicting Udham Singh’s journey to becoming a martyr. Anmolpreet Kaur spoke in English about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Program organized by Baljeet Singh, Rohit Chandel, and Ms. Harpreet Kaur, and led by Principal Ms. Manjit Kaur Mahal, the event celebrated Udham Singh’s legacy and inspired students with his courage and patriotism.
