CELEBRATION OF BAISAKHI
(KHALSA SAJNA DIWAS)
Akal Academy Dhaliwal Bet celebrated Baisakhi (Khalsa Panth Sajna Diwas) with gusto and religious fervour on 12 April, 2024.
The motive behind the celebration was to apprise the students of the rich culture and heritage of Punjab.
The day was started with Panj Banis and Bhog of Sehaj path. After that special assembly was conducted by Amul House. The students highlighted the religious and cultural significance of the festival in an enlightening speech.On the onset of Sikh New Year and the founding of the Khalsa Panth, the students recited Gurbani Shabad kirtan and kwishri.After that kadha prasad (degh) was served to all present there.
In the ground, Every one watched an awe-inspiring Gatka- the Sikh’s traditional martial art form performed which left everyone spellbound.
The Principal Mrs. Sarabjit kaur conveyed her best wishes to all and blessed everyone with the bounty of the season and a harvest of joy and prosperity.
