Bandi Chhor Divas 2024-25
The Bandi Chhor Divas Celebration at Akal Academy Ajitsar,Ratia filled the air with sense of peace and tranquility. Bandi Chhor Divas is a Sikh Celebration that celebrates the day, the Sixth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Hargobind, with 52 prisoners was released from Gwalior fort & returned to the holy city of Amritsar In Sikh religion it is celebrated as Bandi Chhor Divas. The celebration of BANDI CHHOR DIVAS began with recitation of Nitnem Bani, which was followed by Shabad Kirtan by students.Kirtan was performed by the students of the school in the presence of the Principal and staff of the school.Kirtan enables the individual to attune himself with the infinite .It started with a solemn prayer to the almighty and a beautiful thought ,that filled our hearts and minds with love and harmony. Honoured Principal Mam explained the importance of Bandi Chhor Divas , the festival spiritually signifies the victory of good over evil and hope over despair.Besides sensitizing students about the ill effects of crackers ,madam also shared the guidelines of environment friendly options for celebrating diwali .
