Gurpurab Celebrated at Akal Academy Rachhin

The birth anniversary of Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated with immense devotion and reverence at Akal Academy Rachhin, managed by The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib (Himachal Pradesh). The celebration witnessed the active participation of students, staff, parents, and devotees from the local community.

The event began with the conclusion (Bhog) of Shri Sehaj Paath Sahib, followed by soulful Shabad Kirtan, Kavishri performances, recitations of Guru Ji’s inspiring stories, poems, and insights into Sikh history, all presented by the students. These performances deeply touched the hearts of the attendees. Prominent Sikh saints, local Panchayat members, and Gurudwara committees also graced the occasion alongside the parents.

An impressive exhibition related to Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics, prepared by the students, was highly appreciated by the attendees. The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing Gatka (Sikh martial arts) performance by the students.

Principal Mrs. Inderjit Kaur shed light on the uniqueness of the institutions managed by The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib. She also extended heartfelt gratitude to the special guests, including the Keertani Jatha from Nanaksar Thath Barundi, Singh Sahibs from Santpura Sahib Meherna Kalan, S. Bhupinder Singh Ji Rachhin (from Delhi), Singh Sahibs from Gurudwara Budhasar Sahib Lohatbaddi, Sevadaar Jathedar Veer Ji Amarjit Singh Ji, members of Nagar Panchayats, and all the devotees and volunteers.

The event concluded with the serving of Guru Ka Langar to all present. The entire school staff was actively involved in making the event a grand success.
