Annual Athletic Meet and Prize Distribution Ceremony Held at Akal Academy Rachhin
The Annual Athletic Meet and Prize Distribution Ceremony were organized on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Akal Academy Rachhin, a branch of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib (Himachal Pradesh). The event commenced with a Shabad Kirtan performed by the school students, followed by captivating performances. The parents of all the students were specially invited to the school campus for this occasion.
The school students enthusiastically participated in various events such as the 100-meter race, 200-meter race, long jump, high jump, frog race, sack race, spoon race, shot put, relay race, and many other activities, showcasing their athletic skills. The parents and students cheered for the participants with loud applause, encouraging the athletes.
The chief guest of the event, ASI Sardar Gursewak Singh, graced the occasion and honored the winners with medals. Additionally, students who excelled academically during the 2023-24 session were awarded trophies. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of organizing such events to keep the youth away from drugs and encourage them to engage in sports.
The school principal, Mrs. Inderjit Kaur, expressed gratitude to the chief guest and parents for their participation and congratulated the winners. The entire school staff was present to ensure the success of the event.
