Future leaders got their first taste of governance in a mock parliamentary session organized at Akal academy Khera on 10th August 2019. The session’s debate was contested between a ruling party and an opposition party.
About 20 young parliamentarians took part in the competition and the topic of debate was “ Reservation of women in the legislative party”. The objective of the mock Parliament was to familiarize students with parliamentarians functioning and language.
It was a great learning experience and the students knew how the parliament system works and understood the correct usage of the language as well. Ms. Mandeep Kaur School’s principal moderated the sessions. She appreciated all parliamentarians and said young leaders amazed the audience with their debating competence.
