To enhance the love for trees Akal Academy Bilga organized plantation drive on 30th July 2018. It was organized by go green club. Students were motivated to grow and bring more and more plants. More than 75 students brought plants in the school. They planted approximately 100 plants like ornamental plants, medicated plants, shady plants and fruit plants. A cultural programme was presented by the students. The chief guest of this event was Mr. Lashkar Chand Manager of SBI Noormahal, S. Satnam Singh (Pardhan Congress Party) , S. Iqbal Singh (Reporter Jagbani) and Gurnam Singh Jakhu( Member of Nagar Panchayat) were also present there. Students presented many items connected to the benefits of trees in the shape of a poem, action song and speech. It was a pretty good presentation. Mr. Lashkar Chand addressed the students and motivated them to plant more and more plants. He also appreciated the items presented by the students. At last Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur Sahni also motivated the students to grow and bring the plants at school. She also guided the students to look after the plants as young plants requires a dependable heap of care. Even the tiny tots of kindergarten also planted plants. A vote of thanks was given by Madam Principal to the guest.
