Inter House debate competition was held on 6 July, 2019. It was organized by the English Department. 8 students from class 9th – 12th of each house participated in it. A total of 32 students from four houses participated. The topics for the debate were the most burning issues like Drug addiction, EVM Machines, Corruption, and Brain drain. Students confidently spoke in favor of and against the given topic. All the students took part enthusiastically. After the competition of each session, students raised their questions from each other which they answered actively. Even the audience was very active they also respond to the questions asked to them. Mr. Ashok Kumar was the anchor of this event. The judges of this competition were Madam Rajwinder Kaur & Madam Palvi Kapoor. The judgment criteria were based on contents, expression, vocabulary & time duration. The winner of this competition was Atul House. The second position was bagged by Abhay House and third position bagged by Ajay House. In the end, Principal Harpreet Kaur Sahni congratulated the winners and also appreciated all the students and the English teachers. She motivated the teachers to organize such programmes in the future so that the students can focus on more social issues. They will get a platform to share their views and get a chance to listen to the views of others on current social issues.
