Quiz competitions help the students to think from a different perspective. It also promotes many good qualities like teamwork, problem-solving skills, time management, patience, etc. In order to enhance the knowledge of Maths, a Maths quiz was conducted at Akal Academy Bilga as per activity calendar on 13-7-2019 by the Maths department.
The quiz was presented in an interactive manner and the students enthusiastically participated in it. It commenced with the declaration of the rules and regulations of the competition in front of the participants. Students participated with enthusiasm and zeal and tried their level best to win the quiz. The quiz was conducted in two groups, junior group, and Senior group.
In junior group students from II to V classes and In Senior group students from VI to X classes participated in it. Students from classes II to X of different houses participated in it. It assessed the mathematical skills of the students with a varying degree of difficulty.
Maths teachers Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Mr. Neeraj Kumar, Ms. Veerta Kumari, Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Mr. Lakhbir Singh were the organizers of this competition. Students were asked different questions based on different topics of Maths. There were three rounds MCQ rounds, one word round and solution round. At the end of every round, there was a question for the audience that kept the interest alive among them. Students respond to all the questions confidently and actively.? In junior group, First position was bagged by Abhai House, 2nd position was bagged by Amul House and 3rd position was bagged by Abhai House.?
In the senior group, the First position was bagged by Ajay House, 2nd position was bagged by the Amul House and 3rd position was bagged by Abhai House. Summing up, the quiz facilitated the effective learning of Math skills and participation of students as a team and an alert audience. Everyone applauded the winners. It was altogether a fruitful event for all. It was a great learning experience for the children as they enjoyed the quiz very much. At last, Winner teams were awarded certificates.
