Go Green Club of Akal Academy Dakra Sahib had organised Plantation Drive on 20 July 2019. The main aim of this drive was to spread and create awareness to protect the environment from being degrading. The program started with an influential speech from our principal on the effects of global warming and the importance of trees in our lives.
Upon her instructions, the program further followed by teachers and distributed several saplings like jack fruit, guava, gooseberry, pomegranate, osmium sativum, papaya and lemon mainly among 550 students from grade 6th to 10th.
The drive was dedicated to the 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Besides this Activity, In-charge had also conducted the 15 minutes demonstration in each section of grade one and two in favor of Environmental Awareness.
