Debate competition was held in Akal Academy Khera on 29th July 2019.The principal of the school presided over the function. The students from grade 3rd to 6th participated in it. It was house wise, class wise competition. Each class divided into two teams i.e. Team A and Team B. The topics given in the competition were:- Grade III —- Joint family. Grade IV —- Homework should be given or not? Grade V —- Junk Food. Grade VI —– Are sports good for us? The competition was worth enjoying for the audience. Every debater was cheered and clapped up for their pleasing presentation and sharp arguments. The Judges did the judgment on the basis of pronunciation, confidence & loudness, comprehension, understanding, lexical approach vocabulary, and accuracy. In this competition from Grade III & IV, Team B got 1st prize and from grade V & VI, Team A got 1st Position. In the end, Principal ma’am Ms. Mandeep Kaur appreciated the students for their efforts and encouraged them to stay in learning mode. She said, “ The thing which matters is the participation, not the position.” Thus she encourages the students to participate in all co-curricular activities with full fervor. Headmistress
