Akal academies’ organization has taken up a project “Incorporation of systematic and structured training for science teachers” under the guidance of Ms. Ameeta Kumari – a former Teacher trainer, KVS- ZIET Chandigarh who is now associated with us as Consultant – Teacher training & Professional development .
After graded surveys, analysis, assignment tasks based selection process and a series of interactive workshops, a team of 22 science teachers was shortlisted to act as Resource persons during in house training activities of Akal academies. Phase One of the project is generating and standardization of lesson plans from the science curriculum of classes VI to X.
A 3- Day orientation program for these resource persons was organized from 1st August,2019 to 3rd August,2019 at Akal academy Chhuni Kalan.The orientation was an attempt to shift teacher training programs towards more experiential, participatory, constructivist training methods in line with 21st Century.
